Eels (MURAENIDAE)

Above: Most commonly sighted eels are the Morays. Here, we have the Giant Moray (Gymnathorax javanicus), the lovely
Reticulated or Honeycomb Moray (
Gymnothorax permistus)

Below Left: The Yellow Margin Moray (
Gymnothorax flavimarginatus), below Right: a species we couldn't identify.

Below: The White Eyed Gray Moray (Sideria gresea).

Several other species occur in Sri Lanka, such as the Zebra Moray (Gymonmuraena zebra) and Snowflake Moray (Echidna Nebulosa)
