Hikkaduwa is small but really cool coastal town. You will find a "strip" of shops, boutiques, restaurants and luxury hotels along the main road which is right by the sea and very picturesque. Apart from the exciting land life, the undersea world is quite a happening place as well.

We have dived here many a times and explored some really cool dive sites. Our favorite are the ship wreck Conch, the very deep rocky formation Kiralagala and the Hikkaduwa Deep rock with it's array of cave complexes.

 A multilevel rock complex with lots of underground caves. Proceed with caution into the caves as entrapment is a possibility on the low overhanging. Recommended for experienced divers.

 An old British iron sale ship. Literally a "wreck" but significant components are still recognizable and a fun dive experience on a sandy bottom.

 Very close to the Coral Gardens hotel. Can observe varied fauna from little Moray Eels, Pufferfish, Porcupinefish, Sea Slugs and the usual suspects. Has quite a few underground caves and valleys which are awesome. What's special here is the beautiful coral. Mostly red and orange. There is this one rock full of beautiful coral.  A dive site south of the Coral Garden rock formation and closer to shore than Goda Gala. Again a multi-level rock complex sometimes subject to surge because of the proximity to shore. Click here for more information

13M 15 Min Below Average Situated south of Coral Gardens rock formation, this is a very shallow dive site and because its closer to the shore subjected to some surge. The rock formation in itself is very interesting and there are some swim through's. However we found the fish life to below average. However Lobsters, Pufferfish, Boxfish, Porcupinefish can be found here.
