Porcupinefish on a vase sponge!

An active reef

The standard reef is an area in the 2nd Reef with the usual appearance of boulders and rubble full of marine life such as Lionfish, Bluelined Groupers, Flower Groupers, Moray Eels.

The top of the reef is very shallow and the sand bottom around it maxes out at about 16 meters. Unfortunately one section is covered with fishnets and could do with a cleanup operation.

Rest of the reef is teeming with life. Its easy just to be looking down and forget the deep blue out there. This is a mistake because schools of Trevally, Snappers and solitary Sting Rays or Eagle Rays can occasionally be seen.

A great dive site for photography.
