Appearance
A dark brown to black anemonefish with two white bars and orange-yellow pectoral fins, giving it its common name.
Distribution & Habitat
One of the most widespread western Pacific anemonefish, ranging from the Great Barrier Reef to French Polynesia and Micronesia.
Host Anemones & Behavior
Uses a broad range of hosts, including Heteractis crispa, Heteractis magnifica, Stichodactyla gigantea, and Stichodactyla mertensii — more host flexibility than many other clownfish.
