Twobar Anemonefish

Appearance

Also known as Allard's clownfish, it has a dark body with two pale, blue-tinged bars and yellow-orange fins.

Distribution & Habitat

Found along the East African coast from Kenya to South Africa, and around Madagascar and Mauritius.

Host Anemones & Behavior

Known to host in Entacmaea quadricolor, Heteractis aurora, and Stichodactyla mertensii, defending its anemone and feeding on plankton, algae, and small invertebrates in typical clownfish fashion.
