Saddle Anemonefish

Appearance

A bright red-orange anemonefish; adults typically lose their bars entirely, while juveniles often show a faint saddle-shaped patch on the back that gives the species its name.

Distribution & Habitat

Found in the Andaman Sea, along the coasts of Thailand, and around Sumatra.

Host Anemones & Behavior

Almost exclusively hosted by the Bubble-tip Anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor), similar to the closely related Tomato and Fire Clownfish.
